USāRUSSIA PEACE DIPLOMACY: NEW PROPOSALS UNDER DISCUSSION

According to reports attributed to Axios, Washington and Kyiv have discussed new proposals aimed at ending the RussiaāUkraine war.
A Ukrainian official reportedly claimed that US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner warned Kyiv about possible restrictions on intelligence sharing over Ukrainian strikes against Russian oil refineries. US officials denied making such threats.
Meanwhile, a US official reportedly indicated that President Vladimir Putin may be open to discussing an end to the war, with Washington seeking a proposal acceptable to Moscow.

Any diplomatic breakthrough that reduces attacks on energy infrastructure and commercial shipping could improve maritime security, lower war-risk insurance costs and support the recovery of grain exports through Black Sea and Sea of Azov ports.
